today's JingXiu's last day of work! i'm so happy because we're finally getting a chance to realize our long-postponed activity. wahahah. and i shall continue my job hunting tmr! jiayou! :/

muahahah i changed my unglam choco-frenzy photo to this geeky-specky me with a pretty frame. lol!
anyway, i was at Vivo with my mum today and i came across 2 incidents that totally disgrace Singaporeans and her (Singapore's) attempt to be a gracious society. like really. i was awfully disgusted by their actions!
firstly, i was at Candy Empire. (on a side note i absolutely looooveee the chocolates from there!) but there was this indian couple at the pick-and-mix side choosing chocolates. and guess what i saw the lady doing? she took up this chocolate, untwist to open it, looked at it, held it close to her nose, twist it to seal it back, and put it back to it's original state. oh gooodness! seriously unhygienic! then i was conversing w my mum in chinese telling her what that lady is doing. she doesn't believe me and so i asked her to observe that lady. then that lady happen to choose another chocolate to do the same thing. my mum informed the staff and he stood right behind her to make sure she doesn't do it again. in fear of picking that chocolate she picked, i was extremely cautious i had to make sure the wrapper was tight and neat and had no traces of being opened. afterall i only bought 2 types of chocolate. didn't dare to buy more.
secondly, we were at Breadtalk. buying bread (duh) then while we were choosing, this girl maybe say 11-12years old? her mummy at the cashier paying up needed her to pick another bread to make up a certain amount to get a discount i guess so she went around choosing her bread. when she finally made up her mind on this sausage bread she used her hand. i re-emphasize this point. HER BARE HANDS. (or fingers rather) she slightly squeezed (i dunno how to describe that action but yeah u shld have an idea?) each sausage bread before taking the front one to the cashier. i nearly fainted ok! that happened right in front of my eyes! she could've just taken the thongs and pick that bread up. so lack of discipline!
these two incidents already made me feel quite negative about Singaporeans. i guess they're just the black sheep but still. the effort of working towards a more gracious society? HMM. big question mark. ever walked on the streets & a stranger beside you just cough/sneeze without covering his/her mouth? i dunno. probably i'm just biased. but after coming back from Japan thats how i view it to be. just a very big difference between japan's society & ours i guess.
okay i shall not sound so critical but i was really annoyed. anyway, on a lighter note. RETAIL THERAPY ROCKS. (not that i spent alot of money. they're all sale items. lol!) and IAN's birthday is in a few minutes! (:

and i got a new blogskin! lol. i was thinking maybe i should create another photo collage but nvm. for a change. instead of the same old me. the collage. so i decided to take the template as it is and did some changes to the font colour and everything.
i've decided to put an unglam photo of myself as well. HAHAH. that was when i was in a chocolate frenzy. but nooo my face doesn't have two tones. it's my phone camera at that instant! so yeah. i promise to change it when i've taken another nice one with my new specs. but that'll come when i'm in the mood. heh.
today Sua enlisted! ): with that. all my guys friends are in the army! how sad. i'll have one less person to entertain me online. oh well. thats all for now! i looooveee my new blogskin. don't you think what it says about Life is so true? (:
[EDIT] this is gonna be very random in fact. if you remember the first series of Project Superstar. then maybe you would remember Derrick Ho Wei Jian. shit he's damn cute. cannot get over that fact. i still rmb i voted a few times for him to stay in the competition. hahahah. whatever. if only i get paid watching cute celebs on youtube right, i think i would have earned quite alot already. arghhhh.

anyway after a looong wait, the first SACRED letter finally arrived at my mailbox. at least i can have soooome assurance now. thank you NTU! for offering me my first choice! i love you! but i will wait for NUS to mail me their SACRED letter before deciding which to take. though it'll most likely be the latter.
and 吴克群 came out with a new single! oh how exciting. lol. 不是他的风格 but 很有个性!
hahah. i found it much easier to describe it using chinese. CHINESE. i miss it man! though i was always not paying full attention in class. bad example as a chinese rep. omg. hahaha! it remained as my favourite subject! though kinda lost touch ever since the AO in J1 :D another subject. MATH! i fail it almost every single time! i was packing my notes & i came across this set of papers. i failed BT1 damn badly! 33/100. goooodness! hahah! tuition really works sometimes! and of course not forgetting the HORRIFYING failure of BIO OPTIONS at PRELIMS! 2/6 for the essay. shit! hahah. but all that. is over!
i guess late nights with my table light, papers strewn all over the desktop, TYS-es with numerous post-its sticking out because i had too many questions & all the hair-pulling days were worth it (:

random entry. yet i've so many things i want to say here. it'll be a long one.
anyway let me start by saying my aunt went to Yun Nan, China on a holiday! like what a place right. i've no idea why she loves such ancient yet exotic places! she went to The Silk Road the last time. this time she chose Yun Nan! she ALMOST signed up for the Tibet trip. the train ride high up in the mountains. but she gave that idea up when she thought of how fit u have to be to take that train ride because of the high altitude, lack of oxygen blahblahblah. but aye i tink i still won't go to such places though it's scenic :X
ok next! i've been trying my best to look for a 1mth temp admin job! lol. I AM TRYING. applied tons online. and so far those who called to offer me a job has never called me back regarding that job. i.e the job is already unavailable or they found someone better than me. i'm not complaining here i'm just writing how i feel. it's quite irritating sometimes. ESPECIALLY when they ask "do you have any prior admin experience before this job?" and the moment (and i stress this point. it's really on the spot) i say 'no' they give a big 'HUHHH...' like seriously! SO WHAT if i don't have ANY admin experience. i know how to use MWord, Excel and I CAN TYPE. all i'm asking for is a ONE MONTH job that pays $6/hr not a ONE YEAR job! i am not so stupid to not know how to do data entry as long as you provide the assistance/training and i am willing to learn! SO WHAT if i'm unemployed for a few months? i'm just FORTUNATE enough to have such a nice dad who doesn't want me to work. but people will have to start somewhere right? from being unexperienced to having some experience.
secondly, i seriously think sometimes job agencies shld be more responsible in their job. out of those who called me & TOLD ME they WILL confirm w me abt the job. NONE of them called back to at least tell me 'oh the job is taken. i'm sorry u can look for another one/i'll let you know of another available one if there is' if you're telling me u've no time to call back. reasonable enough. tons of pple waiting for jobs. but it won't take more than a minute to punch my number and let me know so that i can stop hoping for that job and continue my job-hunting? seriously. temp job agencies are pissing me off. or maybe its only TEMPORARY so they can care-less. and thirdly, some of the job offers asked me to send a photo. FOR WHAT. i'm only doing admin. i will be sitting in an office typing shit and earning money. who cares about looks. isn't that somehow equivalent to saying if you're ugly your chances of getting this job is much lower? WHICH brings me back to the point that looks matter more than anything else. so shallow don't you think?
i will continue job-hunting! at most i shall not work and just do my driving once every one/two weeks, read my library books and start packing my room :X the notes, the books & shelves really need some packing anyway. hahahah.
that aside, i was surfing the net (or rather pirating if you get what i mean) i came across this two photos and for a moment i thought they look SUPER alike! (for those who don't know them can skip this part of my entry!)
right! the side view! ALMOST the same! lol. though it's quite funny why Rain is so much more popular than Se7en when 1. they both are koreans 2. they both can dance very well 3. when i think Se7en is ABIT better looking than Rain 4. when Se7en actually has more super nice (slow) ballads than Rain whose slow songs are still quite upbeat. but well i listen to both anyway! lol ____________________________

200 Pounds Of Beauty
i've got new specs! woohoo. i met up with collen today! finally (: we watched 200 Pounds Of Beauty. it was AWESOME. it was a damn touching comedy we both cried. lol! i lost ONE SIDE of my earring unknowingly. KILL ME ): but we had a great time and thats all that matters. i'm too lazy to upload all the photos so i'll just leave u with one. or rather two.
as a tribute to my lost earring ):):
i thought the movie was quite realistic about the korean and our society. like how many artistes went under the knife in order to realise their dream of being a superstar. and sometimes when they get all they've wanted with their looks they abandon their pride, their family and their friends. isn't that sad? and also it made me realise how contradicting our society is. when people say: looks don't matter that much. you'll know thats bullshit because looks probably matter more than anything else. otherwise why would the saying "first impression matters" even exist. moreover collen & i were discussing abt looks & boyfriends. HAHAHAH. like honestly! if someone who is freaking ugly confesses his/her love, will you accept him/her as your life-long partner? i think i know the answer :/ which is QUITE sad because thats a reality. so looks DO matter after all.
anyway, i'm looking for the movie's OST & i hope to receive a positive call tmr! goodnight!

see my black yet not so black hair! i love it. wahahah.
ANYWAY, for being so nice & sending me off when i went to japan (send me off for what seriously. lol), she gets a present flown all the way from Tokyo Disneyland which she can gladly share w her beloved kenneth who also sent me off.
as you can see, we had fun w chocolate fudge, taking bimbo & random shots.
it was purely her idea of the 5 shots.
i was still glad to be part of an ultra sweet plan at the end of the day. aww what a sweet boyfriend she's got. lol! she's gonna kill me for this. but heck.
but what can i say? i love her! (:
and with beautiful friendships, comes beautiful memories.

as promised! it's gonna be a real long entry but i hope it entertains you!
this is what i meant when i mentioned about the fact that Japan has tons of cute kids. ok i know this two aren't enough as evidence. i wanted to take more but i didn't really have the chance to because it was so crowded and i was rushing from place to place. so yeah. see the girl! she's carrying a bucket of popcorn! and the kid who crawled through this hole in some log at the shrine. the belief is that if u manage to crawl through u'll live till ripe old age. but the hole was so bloody small. you can't expect an old folk to crawl through it. so stupid! more to come!
tons of good food right? there were more but because i was too hungry i went into it straight away & it ain't very nice taking photos of half eaten food :X anyway, the cream puffs (top right and bottom right) r DAMN NICE. the cream's so fine it just melts in your mouth & the pastry's so crispy! yum! oh i had Black Sesame, and a mix of Sakura Icecream (yes made from the FLOWER) & Green Tea icecream! *melts. and u see the 3 black eggs there. don't be mistaken. they're actually normal eggs inside. it's black apparently cuz they're cooked in this hot spring. so some chemical reaction w sulphur made it this way. each egg is said to lengthen your lifespan by 7 years! hahahah. the rest r meals which were delicious too. didn't manage to snap the sushi bento i had on the last day. that was heaven!
Tokyo Disneyland! we were there on the last day of their sch holidays. and boy was it PACKED as you can see from the top right photo. there're actually "parking lots" for baby prams! oh goodness. hahah but tons of cute kids. everything there was disney. and the rides were all quite kiddy but well just for fun! and i managed to catch the Disney Parade to celebrate their anniversary or something. it lasted for about an hour! it's like a Disney Chingay :D and thats us at tokyo disneyland! if u enlarge the photo, maybe you see the scary resemblance between my dad and i. because many relatives & friends say i look like him. i think inherited most of his features! lol!
alot of sakuras! hahahah. i was sooo glad i still managed to view them in full bloom. it's just beautiful! (: and i went to see the world's biggest Bronze Buddha! it is really hugeeee! anyway the bottom right photo is for jingxiu!: aye aye i TRIED picking some sakuras back for you as promised but they withered like crazy even before i reached the hotel! so i had no choice but to throw them away ): but well, at least u knew i tried! heh! anyway, that day was just plain scenic!
i took the Shinkansen (bullet train) today! new experience. it was so damn cool! seriously. 300km/h! i think it'll take less than a minute to get from Changi Airport to BoonLay in that. HAHAHAH. it took us 15min to get from Toyohashi to Tokyo but it took 1.5hr for the coach driver to reach the same destination! how poorthing. i ate the black eggs that day too! so i've got 7more years to live. wonder if it's true especially after inhaling all that H2S vapour. stinks like mad. u can see the person cooking the eggs in one of the photos above! the eggs were white but emerged black aft cooking! i went to the MIGHTY MIGHTY MT FUJI too! we were lucky we could go up to the 5th station! (FYI: thats the highest a vehicle can go if weather permits. there're 10 stations. after the 5th u've to go on foot but we didn't cuz it's too dangerous) it was freaking cold but beautiful! (: then proceeded to some crystal palace. see me reaching for that crystal that weighs 130kg. u get gd luck touching it! (another belief)
the second last day! went to the well-known Asakusa temple. it has this significantly huge and striking lantern. and it's 400m long Nakamise Shopping Street. tons of souvenirs and snacks. i tink i ate alot of snacks here and there cuz they were so irresistable. went to Tokyo Tower too! where i bought the cream puffs from Chou Factory. they rock. and dinner w lobster & abalone. what more can i ask for?!
okayy thats all from the japan trip! i didn't put up the first and last day since flight-time took up most of the time and a few other places cuz i had no time to snap photos. pardon me if you think there're not enough photos up because i've like close to 200 photos to choose from. lol!
Japan rocks! i must save money to go back there again. for sure. or maybe go back to Korea again? hahahah!

I LOVE NIPPON! seriously! tons of cute kids! i can just melt at their feet. tons of good food! i tink i've put on weight. tons of fashion! i tink i've spent quite alot. tons of scenic places! i tink they're such beautiful memories. just tons of everything nice!

Random Fact #2: say goodbye to brown hair! i just dyed it black. well actually not black BLACK. it's black with a tinch of orangey-brown under the light. makes me so ASIAN all over again. HAHAHAH but i kind of like it. well. u'll get to see photos of me in my new hair colour pretty soon! (:
Random Fact #3: i just got a 1GB memory card for my phone. HOW EXCITING! that means 866 1600X1200 sized photos. oh goodness! i can use my phone to cam whore now. lol! whats more! the card comes with an adapter! meaning.. i can plug the mini card into the adapter and use it for my camera! HOW HOW EXCITING. hahahah! photos photos photos photos! woohoo!

the month of April is here! which means a few of the guys will be enlisting!

i burnt a BIG hole in my pocket today. i went to buy shoes! who asked my pair of track shoes AND sneakers to spoil at such a time when im so in need of a pair of proper shoes that can provide me with adequate support for long-hours walking? bahhh. i was in a dilemma to choose either a pair of track shoes or sneakers.
i saw a pair of Nike track shoes i liked (and it was affordable) but it's for X-training! that storeperson told me it's only for indoor activities. HOW NICE -.-" THEN a pair of Nike sneakers caught my eye. and I LOVE IT. but it costs a bomb! i hesitated like crazyyy! guess my eventual decision? (which is apparently quite obvious) I LOVEEEE MY PAIR OF SNEAKERS!! (if you tink they're ugly. nvm i still love them!) i will still be hunting for a nice yet affordable pair of track shoes though! these sneakers can be worn out but they can't accompany me for jogging! hahahah.
and i conclude that visiting the library is so fulfilling sometimes! especially when the book you want is available and the librarian is nice enough to get it for you because it's not up on the shelves yet. woohoo!
okie next few days will be packing packing and more packing. so exciting! (: i swear i will look for a job soon. seriously! anybody got jobs to offer?
